Valuing our Life Support Systems 2019

When: 21-22 May 2019

Where: The Crystal, London

Valuing our Life Support Systems 2019 provides an independent and inclusive platform for science, policy and business communities to discuss and debate innovative natural capital solutions. It follows from two influential summits, organised by the Natural Capital Initiative in 2014 and 2009, which helped to shape natural capital thinking in the UK.

During two days of informative talks, interactive workshops and challenging Q&As, the summit addresses new frontiers in data and methods, governance and institutions, urban health and wellbeing, sustainable land and water management, and sustainable marine planning.  Confirmed speakers include Professor Ian Boyd, chief scientific adviser at the Defra, Katherine Willis CBE, Professor of Biodiversity at the University of Oxford, Ben Combes,  project director for the World Economic Forum's 4IR for the Earth, and many more.
